Galvanic uses a direct current to create sodium hydroxide (lye) in the hair follicle, effectively dissolving the tissue required to support hair growth. It is the original form of electrolysis. Galvanic electrolysis is excellent for extremely course, deep or curled hair.

Diathermy uses a high-frequency osculating current to produce heat, deep inside targeted tissue.  Electrolysis is the only permanent way to remove all types of hairs safely and permanently, whether they are very fine vellus hairs or deep-rooted terminal hairs. All hair colouring and skin types can be treated. A wide variety of skin lesions can also be treated, including skin tags, age spots and papulosa nigra.

Blend, is the combination of both diathermy and galvanic, giving the ideal combination of speed and efficacy to your hair removal treatments. The Epil 200 offers footswitch or button needle holder modes of operation to cater for your preferred working method. These are both included with this device.
