The Technology
The Silhouette Microneedling Pen uses interchangeable, pre-sterilised needle cartridges, which are skilfully moved over the treatment area to cause micro-traumas. This minimally invasive procedure prompts the skin’s healing abilities and in turn, stimulates many of the skin functions which slow down with age and are affected by cellular or environmental damage. The result of this process is increased production of collagen, elastin, and skin cells, leading to the improvement of fine lines, scarring, including those caused by acne, injury and surgical procedures. The skin’s overall appearance and texture is improved, and fantastic benefits can be seen on stretch marks and hyper pigmentation. A secondary advantage of microneedling, is the creation of superficial epidermal micro channels, which act as a highway for topical active ingredients, allowing more effective product penetration and a more targeted treatment approach.
The Microneedling Pen has 5 levels of speed, has variable depth control (up to 2mm) and the option to utilise LED Light Therapy during the treatment. The use of LED can aid the effects of the microneedling in numerous ways, depending on the wavelength chosen. For example, red light has the effect of increasing cellular energy (ATP) which can support the remodelling process at a cellular level while blue light is effective at minimising the presence of harmful bacterium which could lead to skin infection. These factors, combined with the choice of varied needle cartridges (12, 24, 36 pins and nano for product infusion) allow you to have complete control over your skin needling treatments and adapting your parameters with just the touch of a button or twist of the depth adjustment collar – simple, safe, and effective.

These Microneedling Pen projected figures are based purely on selling four courses a month. A course costs £800 and includes eight treatments total. Treatments can be fortnightly or monthly.
